                                      $10 Million in Charitable Donations

(Birmingham, Ala.)- The 2007 Regions Charity Classic presented by Bruno’s Supermarkets, an official Champions Tour event, will donate $688,893 to charitable organizations in Alabama. (See attached list.) This year’s donation brings the tournament’s 16-year total contribution to charity to more than $9.69 million. The Regions Charity Classic Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization with proceeds raised from each year’s tournament activities benefiting various charities.

“Regions mission is to do all we can to make life better for the communities where we live and work,” said Bill Askew, senior executive vice president of Consumer Banking for Regions and chairman for the Regions Charity Classic Foundation. “We are excited about the opportunity to build upon that tradition and the Champions tour’s commitment to community service.”

“The Regions Charity Classic means a lot to Birmingham by benefiting charities that continue to provide remarkable and very necessary services to our citizens,” said Bill Ritter, North Central Alabama area executive for Regions Bank. “Regions is proud to be a title sponsor of this important tournament, and working together with other dedicated sponsors, we look forward to contributing our time, energy and resources toward making the Classic the successful event it is for our community year after year.”

“Bruno’s is proud to have been a part of this wonderful charitable impact since the tournament’s inception 16 years ago,” said Scott North senior vice president of Operations for Bruno’s Supermarkets. “The fact that the Classic is approaching $10 million to charity says so much about the generosity of this community and the sponsors, fans and volunteers who make it possible. This event means so much to our organization and to the many worthy charities it reaches in Alabama.”

The benefiting 501(c)3 charities are selected from a wide variety of areas including education, arts, health and the humanities. In order to maximize the number of charitable organizations receiving funds, some recipients rotate from year to year.  Preference is given to local and state organizations.

“The 2007 tournament was an extremely successful event,” said Gene Hallman, President of Bruno Event Team. “We are very proud to be approaching the very significant milestone of $10 million in charitable donations. The addition of our new Birdies for Charity program will help to ensure that the level of charitable giving will continue to increase significantly in future years. Giving back to the community is what this event is all about, and it wouldn’t be possible without the outstanding support of Regions, Bruno’s Supermarkets, Ross Bridge, City of Hoover, our other corporate sponsors, fans and volunteers.”

The 2008 Regions Charity Classic presented by Bruno’s Supermarkets will be held May 12-18 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Ross Bridge. The 2008 purse will increase $100,000 to $1.7 million. Players scheduled to appear include Hale Irwin, Jay Haas, Loren Roberts, Tom Kite, Nick Price, Mark O’Meara, Bernhard Langer, Raymond Floyd, Jerry Pate and many other greats. Brad Bryant won the tournament in 2007 and became the first repeat winner of the Regions Charity Classic. His win ended a 15-year run of different champions.
