September 21, 2006   Bruno Event Team Announces Changes in Golf 

                                    Division to Accommodate Growth

 

(Birmingham, Ala.) Bruno Event Team is pleased to announce that Sean Sovacool has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Golf. Sovacool and John Marovich, Vice President of Golf, will oversee the management of all golf events including: the 2008 and 2010 U.S. Women’s Opens, the 2008, 2009, and 2010 U.S. Senior Opens, the Regions Charity Classic (Champions Tour – Birmingham, AL), Principal Charity Classic (Champions Tour – Des Moines, IA), Navistar LPGA Classic (Prattville, AL), Mitchell Company LPGA Tournament of Champions (Mobile, AL), South Georgia Classic (Nationwide Tour – Valdosta, GA) and the Southern Farm Bureau Classic (PGA Tour - Jackson, MS).

“We are very excited about the future of Bruno Event Team’s role in some of the country’s most prestigious golf events,” said Gene Hallman, President of Bruno Event Team. “In preparation for this growth, we felt the need to restructure so that we can continue to build upon the success of our current events while moving forward in securing additional events.”

Sabrina Bouska will become the new Tournament Director for the Regions Charity Classic. Bouska has served as the Sales and Marketing Director for the 2004 U.S. Senior Open in St. Louis, Missouri and the 2002 U.S. Women’s Open in Hutchinson, Kansas. 

In addition, Anna Lacey McMains has been named Sales Director for the Regions Charity Classic. Prior to accepting this position, McMains was employed with the American Heart Association where she served as the Development Specialist/ Gala Director.

Other current members of the golf division who will take on new or expanded roles:

Max Novena has been named Championship Director of the 2009 U.S. Senior Open; Jeff Ewing will become the Senior Operations Director; and Liz Leckemby takes on a new role as the Sales Director of the 2008 U.S. Senior Open.

Bruno Event Team is also pleased to announce a few new members to the Team including:

Randy Watkins joins BET as the Tournament Director of the Southern Farm Bureau Classic; Jeff Starr as Tournament Director of the Principal Charity Classic; Scott Fuller as the Sales Director for the Principal Charity Classic; and Tracy Dilts as the Event Manager for the Principal Charity Classic.
