April 9-11 Indy Grand Prix of Alabama - Barber Motorsports Park- Birmingham, AL

The inaugural Indy Grand Prix of Alabama will feature the most dominant names in the IndyCar Series including 3-time Indy 500 Winner Helio Castroneves, 2008 Series Champion and Indy 500 Winner Scott Dixon, 2007 and 2009 Series Champion and Indy 500 Winner Dario Franchitti and the first female-winning driver Danica Patrick.

April 19-25 South Georgia Classic presented by First State Bank & Trust Com. - Kinderlou Forest Golf Club - Valdosta, GA

This is a full-field Nationwide Tour Event featuring over 150 players competing for $625,000 in prize money. The Nationwide Tour makes its fourth appearance in Valdosta at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club. The Nationwide Tour began in 1990 and sends its Top 20 graduates each season to the PGA TOUR.

April 24-25 Fed Cup- BJCC Birmingham, AL

2010 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas semifinal tie between the United States and Russia, April 24-25.

Fed Cup by BNP Paribas is the world’s largest annual international women’s team competition with 87 countries competing this year. This will be the first Fed Cup tie ever played in the state of Alabama, making it the 13th state to host the prestigious competition. This semifinal tie will mark the eighth matchup overall between the U.S. and Russia in Fed Cup competition, and the fifth meeting in the semifinals since 1979. The U.S. leads the overall series 4-3. Tickets will go on sale the week of March 8th.

April 28-May 2 Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic - Fallen Oak - Biloxi, MS

A new tournament to the Champions TOUR schedule, the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic is to be held April 28-May 2, 2010. The event will be played at Fallen Oak, a Tom Fazio design. Champions Tour favorites Hal Sutton, Loren Roberts, Fred Funk, Jay Haas, Bernard Langer, Tom Watson, Hale Irwin, Fuzzy Zoeller and more are expected to compete.

May 1-2 WERA Regionals - Barber Motorsports Park - Birmingham, AL

WERA returns to the Park with its regional runoffs.  WERA takes pride in its role as America’s only National organization devoted exclusively to the advancement, operation and sanctioning of motorcycle road racing. Many of the riders who participate at the Honda Superbike Classic also compete in WERA.

May 10-16 Bell Micro LPGA Classic- Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Magnolia Grove- Mobile, AL

This LPGA event played on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail showcases a full field of professional LPGA golfers including Paula Creamer, Lorena Ochoa, Cristie Kerr and Natalie Gulbis. It is televised live on the Golf Channel.

May 12-16 Regions Charity Classic - Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Ross Bridge - Hoover, AL

This 18th annual Champions Tour event takes place at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Ross Bridge and features players like Bernhard Langer, Hale Irwin, Jay Haas, Loren Roberts, Tom Kite, Jerry Pate, Brad Bryant, Ben Crenshaw, Fuzzy Zoeller and Jeff Sluman. The Regions Charity Classic has donated more than $10.5 million to local charities over its eighteen year history. It is televised live on the Golf Channel.

May 21-23 Legends of Motorsports

Racing legend Bobby Rahal and Historic Motorsports Production bring this inaugural event to Barber Motorsports Park. Come and watch pices of history race on the beautiful circuit May 21-23.

May 26-30 SEC Baseball Tournament - Regions Park - Hoover, AL

Premier college baseball tournament in the country. The top eight teams in the SEC will compete for the conference tournament title. The 2009 SEC Baseball Tournament drew more than 124,000 fans. The 2010 tournament will mark the 13th consecutive year the Alabama Sports Foundation has hosted the event.

May 31-June 6 Principal Charity Classic presented by Wells Fargo - Glen Oaks Country Club - West Des Moines, IA

This will be the 11th year for this Champions Tour event in Des Moines, IA. Past champions include Jim Thorpe, Bob Gilder, Don Pooley, D.A. Weibring, Tom Jenkins, Gil Morgan and Jay Haas. It is televised live on the Golf Channel.

July 5-11 2010 U.S. Women's Open - Oakmont Country Club- Oakmont, PA

The 2010 U.S. Women’s Open will bring a field of 156 of the world’s best professional and amateur women golfers to Oakmont Country Club. It will be the second time the Women’s Open will be contested at Oakmont. Patty Sheehan won the 1992 championship in a playoff over Juli Inkster after finishing at 4-under-par for 72 holes of regulation play.

July 26 - August 1 2010 U.S. Senior Open - Sahalee Country Club- Sammamish, WA

The 31st U.S. Senior Open will bring a field of 156 of the world’s best professional and amateur senior (over the age of 50) golfers to Sahalee Country Club. Featured players expected to compete include: Fred Couples, Greg Norman, Tom Lehman, Fred Funk, Jay Haas, Tom Watson, Fuzzy Zoeller and Mark O’Meara. NBC and ESPN will provide more than 16 hours of television coverage of the championship.

Aug 30-Sept 5 Mylan Classic- Southpointe Golf Club -Canonsburg, PA (Pittsburgh)

The 72-hole stroke-play event will be played Aug 30- Sept 5 and feature 156 players from 19 countries competing for a purse of $600,000. This inaugural event will be played at Southpoint Country Club in Canonsburg, PA and will be televised live on the Golf Channel Sept 2-5.

September 24-26 Superbike Classic- Barber Motorsports Park - Birmingham, AL

Watch the finest in American motorcycle road racing as the AMA Superbike Series and supporting races visit the Park for the 7th consecutive year. The season ending championship round will feature an expanded Expo area with several “midway” attractions making it an experience for the entire family.

October 4-10 Navistar LPGA Classic – Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Capitol Hill – Prattville, AL

This LPGA event showcases a full field of professional LPGA golfers competing for a $1.4 million purse including Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis, Maria Hjorth, Karrie Webb, and defending champion Lorena Ochoa.

October 8-10 Barber Vintage Festival - Barber Motorsports Park - Birmingham, AL

The Barber Vintage Festival has quickly become the second largest celebration of vintage motorcycles in the U.S.  An event-filled weekend will have a little something for everyone:  Vintage road racing, motocross and time trials, a swap meet featuring over 400 vendors and a motorcycle auction to benefit the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.

October 11-17 CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge - Blackhawk Country Club - Danville, CA

2010 marks the 15th year the LPGA has been played in Northern California as the CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge returns to beautiful Blackhawk Country Club just east of San Francisco. The tournament annually draws huge galleries and the top players on tour to see northern California natives such as Juli Inkster, Paula Creamer Natalie Gulbis and Pat Hurst play in front of a home crowd.

October 30 Magic City Classic - Legion Field - Birmingham, AL

This will be the 69th annual game, and it is the largest attended Black College Football Classic in the nation, consistently drawing an excess of 65,000 fans. The game features Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University, and it's the longest continuous rivalry in the State of Alabama. It has become the largest HBCU Classic in the country.

December Super Six - State High School Football Championships - Auburn, AL
